Bowling Green man charged with child sexual abuse
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green man is charged with sexual abuse involving a minor.
According to a uniform citation, the Bowling Green Police Department says a juvenile disclosed about alleged sexual abuse by an individual that was identified as Thomas Sly, 66, of Bowling Green.
The victim stated they were a child when the alleged incidents occurred, police say.
The citation says police later spoke to Sly, who “corroborated numerous statements the juvenile made” but denied touching the victim in a sexual manner.
Sly stated he watches videos of “kids dancing” and photos of “kids in bathing suits,” the citation states.
Police say a search warrant was obtained Tuesday for Sly’s electronic devices during his arrest.
Results of those devices are pending.
Sly is charged with first-degree sexual abuse, victim under 12 years of age.
