Bowling Green man charged with child sex crime
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green man is accused of molesting a young girl for four years from the time she was seven years old until she reported the allegations Wednesday.
Gabriel Burke, 38, 5301 Scottsville Road #31, was charged Wednesday night with one count of first-degree sexual abuse of a child under 12 years old after Warren County Sheriff’s Office responded to TriStar Regional Greenview Hospital where the child’s mother took her after she told her mother that Burke had been molesting her for four years, according to his arrest citation.
The girl told deputies the incidents would occur in the early morning hours when the two were alone, according to his citation. She said Burke forced her to perform a sex acts with him.
Burke came to the hospital, were he was detained by police until deputies arrived.
Deputies read Burke his rights, and he agreed to speak with them, according to his citation. Burke told deputies he began showering with the girl when she was at a young age and became attracted to her when she was about age seven. He told deputies he began attempting to touch her, according to his citation. This led to him touching her over and under her clothes.
He denied forcing her to perform sex acts, according to his citation.
Burke is lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail and his bond is set at $25,000.
