Bowling Green man charged with child rape, sodomy

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green man is facing child sexual abuse charges.

The Bowling Green Police Department says it was contacted about allegations of sexual offenses involving Sergio Cruz Ramos, 45, of Bowling Green, on Wednesday.

According to a uniform citation, two juvenile victims told investigators that Cruz Ramos engaged in sexual acts with them.

One of the victims told investigators that Cruz Ramos forced them into sexual intercourse over two years, between the ages of 5 and 7.

The second victim told investigators that Cruz Ramos made sexual contact with them on at least one occasion when they were 9.

Cruz Ramos was located on Wednesday.

Detectives say Cruz Ramos agreed to speak with them, and he allegedly confessed to sexual contact with both victims.

Cruz Ramos allegedly told officers that the incidents spanned two years.

BGPD arrested Cruz Ramos. He is lodged at the Warren County Regional Jail.

Cruz Ramos is charged with first-degree rape of a victim under the age of 12, first-degree sodomy of a victim under the age of 12 and first-degree sexual abuse of a victim under the age of 12.

The investigation is ongoing.
