Bowling Green man charged with assaulting police officer
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- A Bowling Green man is behind bars, accused of assaulting a police officer.
Imari Talley, 24, is charged with third-degree assault on a police officer, menacing and second degree fleeing or evading police.
According to an arrest citation, police responded to a physical altercation between Talley and a woman in the 2100 block of Robin Road on Tuesday.
Bowling Green police say they confronted Talley and when they did, he intentionally tried to cause physical injury to a law enforcement agent by pushing an officer into a wall.
According to the citation, Talley then fled on foot.
He was apprehended a short time later and lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail.
