Bowling Green man charged after allegedly loading sexually explicit acts involving a minor on chat app

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green man is charged with child sexual exploitation offenses following an investigation.
According to a uniform citation, the Bowling Green Police Department received a cyber tip through the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC).
BGPD detectives say a photo of an adult male having sexual intercourse with a female toddler was uploaded to a Kik account.
Following an investigation, the KiK account was linked to Sean Campau, 24, of Bowling Green.
BGPD obtained a search warrant and executed it at Sean Campau’s home on Tuesday.
Sean Campau agreed to speak with officers, according to a uniform citation.
Detectives say Sean Campau admitted to having a Kik account and said he loaded two photos in a role-playing chat.
Detectives say the photos are the same as the original cyber tip.
Sean Campau was arrested.
He is charged with possession of a matter portraying sexual performance by and minor under 12 and distribution of a matter portraying sexual performance by a minor under 12.
In addition, police say 67-year-old Angela Campau of Bowling Green, Sean Campau’s mother, was arrested the same date at the residence.
During this incident, police say Angela Campau “became hostile” and “refused to speak with” detectives. In addition, authorities say her dog tried to jump up and bite detectives.
Angela Campau faces charges of menacing, resisting arrest, second-degree disorderly conduct, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia – buy/possess.
Both remain at the Warren County Regional Jail.
The investigation is ongoing.
