Bowling Green man arrested on sodomy, incest charges involving minor

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green man is facing multiple charges related to sexual abuse of a minor.

According to the Bowling Green Police Department, the arrest stems from an investigation regarding a sexual abuse case. Police stated the arrest was the result of an active warrant to the charges below.

Barry W. Goley, 53, of Bowling Green was arrested in Warren County on Friday, June 3 and charged with unlawful transaction with a minor, first degree — illegal sex act, under 16 years of age; incest — forcible compulsion/incapable of consent or under 18 years of age; sodomy, third degree and sexual abuse, first degree.

Goley was lodged in the Warren County Detention Center.

Goley was released Monday, June 6 on a $25,000 cash bond.

In Oct. 2020, Goley was indicted on two counts of tampering with physical evidence relating to the indictment of Grant William Goodman, who faced 52 charges involving sexual violence against a family member.
