Bowling Green man arrested on rape charge

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green man is facing a charge in an alleged rape case.

According to a uniform citation, the Bowling Green Police Department responded Sunday to a report of a delayed rape.

Upon arrival, police say they spoke with the victim, who stated 29-year-old Anster Marquez of Bowling Green “had sex with her against her will” that morning.

While police spoke with Anster, the citation states he at first denied having sexual intercourse with the victim before stating he did.

According to the citation, “Anster changed his story multiple times during this investigation.”

Anster was taken into custody and transported to the Warren County Regional Jail, where he remains on a charge of first-degree rape.
