Bowling Green man arrested on burglary charges

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A man is facing multiple charges in relation to burglaries at two local businesses.
On Monday, Bowling Green Police Department officers responded to a call for the recovery of a stolen vehicle at the 1300 block of Scottsville Road.
Police say when they arrived, they located Davion Scott, 19, of Bowling Green inside. At this time, BGPD took Scott into custody and interviewed him.
During the interview, police say Scott admitted he had previously broken into Kirk’s Auto Mart on 621 State Street and stole a cell phone. He also stated he returned to this business the next night and stole a vehicle and firearm, police say.
Authorities with BGPD were also able to connect two laptops in the vehicle to the IFix BG on 952 U.S.31-W Bypass. Police say this store had recently had a break-in.
Scott is charged with two counts of first-degree burglary, third-degree burglary, theft or disposition of an automobile between $1,000 and $10,000, theft or disposition of a firearm, theft of a motor vehicle registration plate and third-degree criminal mischief.
He remains in the Warren County Detention Center.
