Bowling Green man arrested in connection with storage unit thefts
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green man is facing charges that stem from a string of storage unit thefts.
According to a uniform citation, the Bowling Green Police Department was investigating the reported thefts on Tuesday. Officers say the thefts all occurred in Bowling Green recently.
After reviewing surveillance video from one theft, police say they learned the male in the video appeared similar to 43-year-old Brady Trosper of Bowling Green.
Authorities say Trosper had also recently sold a bicycle for $8,000 that was confirmed to be stolen from a residential garage.
Upon making contact with Trosper, officers say he stated he acknowledged the bicycle but denied it was stolen.
Police say Trosper was taken into custody and later stated the bicycle was given to him.
Trosper was charged with receiving stolen property between $1,000 and $10,000, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and receiving stolen property between $500 and $1,000.
The investigation is ongoing. Police say further charges are expected.
