SMITHS GROVE, Ky. – A Bowling Green man is behind bars after a shots fired complaint.

According to a uniform citation, the Warren County Sheriff’s Office responded Sunday around 6 p.m. to Hays Pondsville Road.

Deputies say a caller stated a male, later identified as 35-year-old James Constant of Bowling Green, was firing off rounds in a residence.

Authorities say a Smiths Grove officer arrived first on scene and stated one round had been fired into the floor of the residence. According to deputies, Constant had left the scene in a black Corvette.

Upon arrival, deputies say they made contact with two victims, who stated Constant was not supposed to be at the residence. Authorities say the two victims stated a confrontation took place, and Constant pointed a gun at them and threatened to kill them if they called the police.

Authorities say they were told Constant then turned around and shot at the floor.

Constant allegedly shot three more rounds outside before leaving the scene, according to the citation.

Authorities stated they found a total of four shell casings at the scene, with three outside and one inside.

Deputies say they located the black Corvette off of McFadin Station Street and conducted a traffic stop.

Constant was detained and arrested. He was then transported to the Warren County Regional Jail on a charge of first-degree wanton endangerment.
