Bowling Green man arrested after allegedly driving with male on hood of vehicle

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green man is facing a wanton endangerment charge.

According to a uniform citation, while the Bowling Green Police Department responded to a noise complaint Saturday, an officer witnessed a vehicle speed by with a male on the hood of the vehicle.

Police say they stopped the vehicle at the intersection of High Street and East 14th Avenue.

Authorities say a male subject jumped off of the hood and began yelling at the officer.

The citation states the driver, identified as 23-year-old Devon Gray of Bowling Green, was detained.

According to authorities, Gray yelled he had told the male to get off of the hood. Police say two other male subjects on scene then began yelling.

After three of four subjects were detained, police say they took Gray into custody.

Police say Gray stated the male that got on the hood “demanded to be taken to his girlfriend’s home.”

Gray was arrested on a charge of first-degree wanton endangerment. He remains at the Warren County Regional Jail.
