BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green man has been arrested in relation to an alleged package theft.

According to the Bowling Green Police Department, police arrested Alexander T. Kennedy, 32, of Bowling Green on Monday evening for the theft of a package from a residence on Lynnwood Way.

Police say a witness reported observing a man delivering DoorDash near his apartment. Shortly after, police say the witness says they saw a black SUV leave the parking lot and park across the street.

The man then observed the individual take a package off of a neighbor’s doorstep, police say.

The witness also gave a description to officers of the vehicle and its license plate.

Police say they responded to Audley Avenue, where they spoke with Kennedy, who they say denied taking the package.

Police say after further investigation, they arrested Kennedy and charged him with theft of mail matter and receiving stolen property.

He was transported to the Warren County Detention Center.
