Wanted Bowling Green man allegedly caught on trail camera breaking into property

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – A wanted Bowling Green man faces a burglary charge in Allen County.
The Allen County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to a complaint Friday from a homeowner on Naptier Road regarding an individual who was seen trespassing on trail cameras
The property owner told the deputy the home is vacant. The owner told the deputy the trail cameras were installed due to ongoing break-ins and property damage in the area.
The owner told deputies that on June 27 and June 30, a vehicle could be seen pulling into the driveway.
On June 27, a man arrived at the home and allegedly went through several items inside a shed before seeing a trail camera. After seeing the camera, the man fled the property.
On June 30, the same man arrived at the property at dawn, driving the same vehicle pulling a trailer.
The deputy says the owner could not verify if items had been stolen due to the home being vacant and previous break-ins.
The owner says the suspect is Mickey Carter, 40, of Bowling Green. The owner says Carter was spotted in the area frequently.
The deputy confirmed Carter’s identity after contacting other deputies familiar with recent theft cases.
Carter was served two arrest warrants from Tennessee and taken into custody on a third-degree burglary charge.
The Allen County Sheriff’s Office arrested Carter on July 3 for allegedly stealing barn lumber and a trail camera in Macon County.
Carter is lodged at the Allen County Jail.
