Bowling Green locals share Super Bowl experience

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- A few Bowling Green locals were in the nearly 70,000 person crowd at the Super Bowl on Sunday night.

Hank and Kelly Wilson packed up their bags and boarded the plane to Phoenix to catch the action in person.

Very involved in athletics at Western Kentucky University, they love seeing sporting events in person. And they said with no Tops playing in the game this year, there had to be someone representing the Hilltoppers!

“We had to represent ya know, there’s no Tops in the Super Bowl this year so we had to make sure there were at least a few. The pageantry was awesome, the pregame set up was a lot like a national championship or something like that. There’s so much stuff to do, it was awesome,” said Hank.

This was the first Super Bowl they’ve been to- but they said certainly not the last!
