Bowling Green East eliminated from Little League World Series
SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.- The Bowling Green East little league team was eliminated Saturday in the Little League World Series.
The team lost to Barrington Little League from Rhode Island, 6-1.
Rhode Island took the lead in the bottom of the third inning, but BG East responded in the top of the fourth when Luke Idlett’s RBI single plated Jameson Napper to tie the game at 1-1.
Rhode Island had an answer of their own, scoring four runs on four hits in the bottom of the fourth, and they never looked back.
BG East finished with just two runs on four hits in the tournament.
Bowling Green will remain in Williamsport and play an exhibition match on Monday against Australia.
