Bowling Green Kiwanis Club celebrates 100 years of service
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A local organization celebrates a century of service to the community.
The Bowling Green Kiwanis Club celebrated their 100th birthday in style at the Corvette Museum, featuring exhibits for each decade since the 1920s plus memorabilia from the archives.
Former members, current leaders and more came together in celebration of this huge accomplishment, and they are excited for 100 more years of service.
“What we do now has been built on the backs of 100 years of Kiwanians that came before us. So I think that is probably the most cool thing about being here is understanding that we are only able to do and help the community the way we are today because we’ve had all of those people that have put in the work before us,” member Whitney Kinslow says.
The club meets every Wednesday at noon, and they would love to recruit new members to help their service to the community.
