Bowling Green kicks off Relay For Life with “Paint the Town Purple”

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – As you travel around Bowling Green in the coming days, you may notice purple ribbons tied in some places. This is because the Relay For Life committee came out for an event on Thursday night called “Paint the Town Purple.”

To raise awareness for the Relay For Life event at the end of the month, the committee came and tied purple ribbons on poles and fences. This was right after a proclamation at City Hall, where May was officially called “Relay For Life Month”.

The ribbons tied all over town are meant to prepare and excite everyone for the main event, and most importantly, to bring awareness to the fight against cancer.

Relay For Life will be held on May 31 at Bowling Green Ballpark. To learn more, click here.
