Bowling Green Junior High School baseball coach pleads not guilty; resigns from school district
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- The Bowling Green Junior High School baseball coach accused of sending sexually explicit images to an undercover detective pleaded not guilty in a Warren County courtroom Friday morning.
At Lavance Anderson’s arraignment, Judge John Brown set Anderson’s bond at $10,000.
According to the Kentucky Attorney General’s Office, Anderson admitted to communicating with a person he believed to be a minor about sex acts and admitted to sending sexually explicit images to the undercover detective over the internet.
According to Commonwealth’s Attorney Chris Cohron, Anderson will make his next court appearance next Wednesday for a preliminary hearing.
Anderson resigned from the Bowling Green Independent School District Friday afternoon, where he worked as a coach for Bowling Green Junior High School and instructional assistant at Parker-Bennett-Curry Elementary School.
