Bowling Green International Festival has huge success

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The rain went away just in time on Saturday for The Bowling Green International Festival.

The multicultural fest was a hit this weekend. The annual festival featured foods, songs, dances and more from countries all over the world.

People gathered to check out Cajun accordion and fiddle music, traditional Peruvian dance, African drum and dance, Indian dance-drama and Celtic Jam sessions throughout the day.

These are only a few of the many acts that captured everyone’s attention… not to mention the delicious array of foods and cultural novelties people could buy.

Juliana Grossi dances the flamenco with the Academy of Flamenco Arts. Her group has been a part of the festival for the last 15 years.

“This is one of the festivals that we enjoy the most,” said Grossi. “We love when we’re invited. We were talking with the girls with about how friendly it is. As a minority group, we love that they celebrate minority and that they get to know the culture that we’re from and our dance.”
