Bowling Green Independent Schools introduce new teacher mentoring program

The Bowling Green Independent School district has started a new mentoring program called, Ascend, for first time teachers. 

Sixteen newly hired teachers are participating in the program which offers mentoring and support from teachers with more experience. 

The program is aimed to increase both teacher effectiveness and retention in the education profession. 

This new initiative takes place of the Kentucky Teacher Internship Program.
