Bowling Green Independent Schools celebrate Bowling Green East at the World Series
BOWLING GREEN Ky.-The Bowling Green East Little League team playing in the Little League World Series in Williamsport Pa. is getting lots of love back home.
To celebrate the local team’s appearance, students at several Bowling Green Independent Schools spent the day decked out in their Little League attire.
From hats to T-shirts, the students were decked out and ready to send their love and support to the Bowling Green East team.
Former members of the Little League team who attend Bowling Green Junior Sigh School said it’s great to see the team on an international stage.
“It’s amazing. I know how hard they worked. I know most of them personally. It’s just such a cool experience for them and I’m so happy that they get to do this,” third baseman and pitcher for Bowling Green Junior High Ryan Watt said.
“It’s just great being able to be a part of that team. It just feels amazing,” second baseman for Bowling Green Junior High Benjamin Davenport said.
