Bowling Green Humane Society over capacity; low adoption fees
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Bowing Green/Warren County Humane Society has reached overcapacity. They need help to get animals adopted. Until Sunday, August 1st, the society will reduce adoption fees for approved applications.
Current prices include:
Adult cats (over 4 months): FREE
Kittens (under 4 months): $25
Dogs over 6 months: $25
Adoption Center Manager Leah Lawrence says on average, the society gets about 40 new pets a day.
“We have a wide variety of all ages colors, a little bit of everything. So, if you think you’ve got a little extra time to this summer to get somebody acclimated to your home, we would definitely encourage you to come out here and take a look,” said Lawrence.
“We love her, and she’s the most best dog in the whole wide world,” said young Jack Pearson about the shelter dog, Little Girl.
“All these animals deserve a home. To be loved. This little girl grabbed us when we walked by, so that’s why we want to take her home,” said customer Ashley Rich.
The Bowling Green Humane society stresses the importance of spaying and neutering your pets, especially around summer months like these.
