Bowling Green High School cheerleaders win National Championship

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Bowling Green High School’s Cheerleading Team was crowned National Champions at the National High School Cheerleading Competition over the weekend.

Over the weekend, Bowling Green’s cheer squad competed in the National High School Cheerleading Competition at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, and ended it by capturing the first National Championship in school history.

The team’s top honors came in the Medium Varsity Game Day Division II category of last weekend’s nation-wide event.

The 2020 National High School Cheerleading Championship and National Dance Team Championship features over 25,000 athletes on 1,270 teams from 36 different states.

The National Champs were escorted back into town by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office on Monday afternoon.
