Bowling Green Hot Rods partner with White Squirrel Brewery to introduce Line Drive Lager

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – White Squirrel Brewery is partnering with the Bowling Green Hot Rods to introduce a new beer that fans can enjoy this coming season at the ballpark.

Line Drive Lager will be available inside the stadium as well as at White Squirrel Brewery.

Inspired by the Vienna lager, it has lower alcohol content and a lighter body, making it easy to drink.

Hot Rods general manager Kyle Wolz says he’s excited to offer something different at the ballpark and partner with a local pillar in the process.

“White Squirrel Brewery is such a pillar in the community, and that’s something that we really wanted to be involved with, and it was a unique partnership that we can offer at the ballpark as well as the brewery, then start to expand that down the road. It’s exciting to roll this out this upcoming Saturday,” he says.

White Squirrel’s co-owner, Sean Stevens, adds they’re excited to partner with the team and show off something unique for the community.

“We’ve always been, along with Kyle and his crew, community first and so, people think that some of us, especially bars, are competitors. We want local businesses to succeed, and the Hot Rods are our local baseball team. So it’s just a natural fit for us, we’re all about local and they’re all about local,” he says.

The first tap of this new lager will be tasted on Saturday, March 8t at 1 p.m. at White Squirrel Brewery.

The community is invited, as there will be Hot Rods merch available, along with food trucks and your chance to purchase tickets for the 2025 season.
