Bowling Green High School students plan for future at networking event

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -High school seniors everywhere are preparing for life after graduation, and one local high school is creating opportunities to help them succeed. Dozens of Bowling Green High School seniors gathered at the Bob Kirby Branch Library to network and prepare for their futures by connecting with professionals in various career fields. The students had the chance to broaden their horizons and gain valuable direction for life after high school.

Katie Whitt, a BGHS teacher, explained that the event was organized for her College Knowledge class. “It’s an opportunity for our students to learn more about majors and potential careers, but it’s also an opportunity for our students to learn how to network and socialize at large networking events,” Whitt said. The event allowed students to build meaningful connections and gain new skills that they can carry with them into their future careers. This hands-on experience will help these seniors feel more confident as they step into the next chapter of their lives. It’s a great example of how schools are preparing students for success beyond the classroom.
