Bowling Green High School seniors inspire next generation during graduation walk
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- Walking into your future isn’t always easy, but on Monday, several seniors are taking a step toward their future by inspiring elementary school students.
Bowling Green High School seniors returned to their elementary schools to empower and inspire students to move forward in their education by walking through the halls and dropping gems for the fifth graders moving on to the next chapter of their lives.
A Bowling Green High School senior, Breece Bryant, shares why this is important to her. She says, “I honestly remember, like the seniors that came in when I was in elementary school and just seeing them and being so excited to like, be there one day, and now that I’m finally here, it just is really a happy and joyful feeling to be able to give those kids that type of like joy or excitement.”
As they leave, they are making room for the next generation and the seniors left them with some inspiration.
Maggie Morris, a graduating senior, shares some encouraging word for the fifth graders.
Morris says, “They can do anything they put their mind to. You know, you have a lot of people in our class who are going to play sports. They’re going to go be nurses. I mean, we just have a widespread community going everywhere. And I want them to know that they can achieve those goals. ”
The high school graduates are not only an inspiration, their life journey and adulthood is just beginning.
