Bowling Green for Peace holds rally in downtown Bowling Green

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Another black lives matter rally and march was held through downtown Bowling Green Wednesday.

The group, Bowling Green for Peace, chanted “black lives matter” and “say her name” referring to Breonna Taylor, the EMT who was killed by police in Louisville while they were serving a no-knock warrant.

The group marched from the Warren County Justice Center to Fountain Square Park and then to Senator Rand Paul’s office.

The purpose of the rally is to bring attention to recent events involving police brutality and demand equality for African-Americans.

Bowling Green for Peace has held two other rallies over recent weeks. Organizers say they are happy with the number of individuals attending.

While there weren’t any reports of physical violence, some attendees say they were heckled by some onlookers.
