Bowling Green families receive 100 laptops, digital skills training

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. –  Families in Bowling Green are now more tech savvy thanks to the donation of 100 laptops on Thursday.

During a press conference Thursday evening, the donations were announced as part of AT&T’s commitment to bridging the digital divide alongside the launch of Connected Nation’s Teens Teach Tech, powered by AT&T.

The program hosted digital skills workshops, covering topics like computer basics, email and mobile phone basics, cybersecurity and more.

Families gathered at the Boys and Girls Club of Bowling Green to take part in the event, which is also in collaboration with Bowling Green Boys and Girls Clubs of America.

According to organizers, Bowling Green Boys and Girls Clubs of America serves as Kentucky’s first AT&T Connected Learning Center, which launched last year.

The event aimed to teach skills that will help community members use technology at work, in education and during daily life.
