Bowling Green couple loses pets, belongings in house fire
BOWLING GREEN Ky.- A Bowling Green couple is mourning the loss of their two dogs that died in a Friday morning house fire.
“I lost my two dogs, I’ve got no place to go … . Everything is burnt up in the house so we’re out of a lot right now,” said J.B. Beaudry, who also lost all of his possessions in the fire.
While the house 411 West 10th Ave. is still standing, it’s the loss of Miley and Buddy that hurts the most.
“They’re taking it really rough. My wife is taking it really rough. She lost some of her best friends,” Beaudry said through tears.
The Bowling Green Fire Department has not yet determined the exact cause of the fire. Assistant Fire Chief Tim Buchanon said the BGFD was dispatched to the home just before 10 a.m.
“Units were dispatched to the residence behind me for a residential structure fire. We quickly arrived and reported light smoke showing on the front door. Our crews made entry and quickly located a small room on fire and made extinguishments,” Buchanon said.
Beaudry said the fire was caused by a heater.
BGFD is investigating the fire and has not officially released the cause of the fire.
