Bowling Green company buys $3 million in semi-trucks; jobs will result

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – One Bowling Green transportation service is making a $3 million dollar investment that will bring many jobs to the locals in the community.

Last Thursday, Bluegrass Dedicated LLC announced the purchase of 25 new semi trailer trucks to keep up with its growing customers around Bowling Green.

Along with these semis will come many additional jobs for CDLA drivers and other support staff positions in the South-Central Kentucky region. It will also allow for more efficiencies with businesses needing these services from the current, capacity-constrained, trucking services sector.

Bluegrass Dedicated LLC is the largest trucking company in South Central Kentucky. The company has 14 facilities across six states with their headquarters located in Bowling Green.

Director of Business Dedicated Rodney Smith told WNKY that this large purchase will create anywhere from 15 to 25 jobs  around the region.

People can visit the company’s website where they have job opportunities posted, a couple of them being local positions around the South Central Kentucky area.
