Bowling Green City Schools to temporarily close

BOWLING GREEN Ky.-A local school district will be temporarily closing due to increasing COVID-19 cases.

The Bowling Green City schools will be closed the week of Nov. 23 through Nov. 27.

This decision was made due to the increasing number of positive cases and the number of individuals quarantined.

Students will complete the remainder of the week with purple schedule students attending in person Wednesday, Nov. 18, gold schedule students in person on Thursday, Nov. 19, and all students learning from home on Friday, Nov. 20 as a scheduled non-traditional instruction day.

Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 23 and Nov. 24 will not be school days. These days will be made up later in the spring semester.

The district plans to reopen the week of Monday, Nov. 30, with the purple/gold hybrid schedule.
