Bowling Green city leaders officially approve budget
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- City leaders in Bowling Green have officially approved the 2019-2020 budget.
The city commission unanimously approved the second and final reading Tuesday afternoon.
The $124 million budget does not include any tax rate hikes for the 16th consecutive year.
The budget includes more than $3 million for the new Lovers Lane Fire Station, $2 million for street overlay projects, $500,000 for new sidewalks and a nearly 2% salary boost for all full-time city employees.
