Bowling Green announces details for Arbor Day celebration including tree give away
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- The city of Bowling Green has announced plans for its annual Arbor Day celebration this Saturday.
The event will take place at Kereiakes Park on Cemetery Road from 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
This year’s celebration will offer free trees, tree planting demonstrations, an inflatable for kids, stormwater information and a reading of Dr. Seuss’ the Lorax at 10 a.m.
In addition, Bowling Green has been designated as a Tree City USA for the 25th consecutive year by the Arbor Day Foundation in honor of its commitment to effective urban forest management.
The event is free and open to the public.
