Bourbon County man charged with child sexual exploitation offenses following investigation

PARIS, Ky. – A Bourbon County man is charged with child sexual exploitation offenses following an online investigation.

According to a release, the Kentucky State Police arrested 56-year-old Gary Baker of Paris, Kentucky on Feb. 20 on a charge of child sexual exploitation online.

The KSP Electronic Crime Branch launched an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation after Baker allegedly shared images of child sexual exploitation.

KSP states it obtained a search warrant for Baker’s home on Feb. 20, and he was taken into custody.

The equipment used to commit the alleged crimes was seized and taken to KSP’s forensic laboratory for examination.

Baker is currently charged with one count of first-degree sodomy, 10 counts of procuring or promoting the use of a minor by electronic means and 10 counts of possession of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance under 12 years old.

Baker was lodged at the Bourbon County Detention Center on a $1,000,000 cash bond.

The investigation is ongoing.
