Body found in singer’s Tesla identified as missing teen

LOS ANGLES (KCBS) – Human remains found inside of a Tesla belonging to a singer have been identified as a missing 15-year-old girl.
KCBS reports the vehicle, which belongs to singer and songwriter D4vd, was at a Hollywood tow yard when the remains were discovered earlier this month.
The County of Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s office listed the victim as Celeste Rivas Hernandez.
The Riverside Sheriff’s Department confirmed Hernandez was reported missing from Lake Elsinore in 2024. A “Missing Person” flyer states Hernandez was last seen on April 5, 2024.
The cause of her death has been listed as deferred. The time of death is still not known.
Officers with the Los Angeles Police Department discovered the remains stuffed inside of a bag in the trunk of the car after responding to reports of a foul smell at the Hollywood tow yard on Sept. 8.
A few days prior, the Tesla had been towed to the yard after it had been parked on the side of a street for over 72 hours.
A neighbor said the Tesla was abandoned in that area for weeks.
Detectives took possession of the Tesla, which has Texas license plates and is registered to David Anthony Burke, who uses the stage name “D4vd.”
The singer was on tour at the time of the body’s discovery, and police say he is cooperating with the investigation.
