Blood donation drive happening at WKU

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – With COVID-19, hurricanes and wildfires going on in the country, blood donations are in high demand.

Western Kentucky University is partnering with the Red Cross for a blood drive called “We’re All In This Together”

The blood drive began Monday and will continue into Wednesday in the Nite Class at Downing Student Union

Anyone in the community is encouraged to participate whether you are a student or not.

This is the blood drive that usually WKU students compete against MTSU for donations, but this year, there is not a competition, instead, a reminder that we are all in this together.

According to Janice Prochaska with the Red Cross, donations of all blood types are needed right now.

They do encourage making an appointment, but you can walk-in to make a donation.
