Bindi Irwin shares endometriosis journey to raise awareness

Bindi Irwin, conservationist and daughter of Steve Irwin, is sharing a medical journey in hopes to bring awareness.
Irwin shared a post last week on Facebook, where she described her story of facing endometriosis.
Irwin said she faced “insurmountable fatigue, pain and nausea” for 10 years. She said a doctor said to her that it was simply part of being a woman.
However, after some outside guidance, Irwin said she recently received surgery for the condition.
Irwin said she wishes to share her experience for anyone facing pain to encourage them to keep searching for an answer.
On Monday, Irwin posted an update thanking others for sharing their own experiences as she recovers.
“I can finally see a new me on the journey towards better health,” she wrote.
