Biden-Harris Administration approves Kentucky’s digital grant application

WASHINGTON – Kentucky is one step closer to digital equity across the state after the federal government has approved to award an application.

According to the National Telecommunications and Information Administration, this approval allows the state to request access to more than $12 million to implement its digital equity plan.

The plan outlines how the state will empower individuals and communities with the tools and skills necessary to benefit from meaningful access to affordable, reliable, high-speed internet service.

The funding will also allow Kentucky to create a pipeline that will support providing affordable devices and sustainably handle device refurbishment.
