BGWC Humane Society asks for donations to cover dog’s surgery bills

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Bowling Green-Warren County Humane Society is asking for a helping hand.
Ace, which the humane society said is an “incredible teenage pup,” has undergone multiple surgeries. Despite the pain from his first surgery, BGWCHS said the dog still showed his love for children and toys.
During Ace’s recovery, children volunteering at the shelter would read to him indoors since he couldn’t be active outside. The humane society said they fell in love with him.
Unfortunately, Ace would need a second surgery. Eventually, it was discovered that Ace was suffering from an intestinal blockage from an unknown cause, causing an infection and other issues, stated BGWCHS.
Emergency surgery was done Monday at a full-service veterinarian office.
The humane society said Ace’s bills are adding up, but they know he’s worth it. They asked in a social media post to please consider making any donation amount to contribute to his care.
If the goal is met, any amount donated beyond what is needed will go to the Sick and Injured Medical Fund to help other pets like Ace.
If you wish to donate, you can visit bgshelterpets.com or call 270-783-9404.
