BGPD still recruiting for new cadets

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The application deadline for those wishing to explore a career in law enforcement here in Bowling Green is Jan. 10.

The department is still growing and wants at least eight more cadets this year. Recruiting sergeant Brad Hogue says that it is a fun job and gives people a great opportunity to learn more about their community.

“Bowling Green is obviously a very fast growing community and we’re trying to grow to meet the needs of that community,” he says. “Our police department, we’re fortunate that we have a lot of interest and people willing to join us. A lot of that has to do with the culture we’ve developed and not just that, but also the environment of our city and our community.”
