BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Bowling Green police say they have arrested two men in an ongoing death investigation.

According to the Bowling Green Police Department, police responded to the 400 block of Gary Avenue Sunday and found Jazzmyne Rose Fikes, 44, in cardiac arrest.

Police say Fikes was not able to be revived and was pronounced dead.

Fikes was bedridden because of a physical condition, police say. Bowling Green authorities further say Fikes was malnourished, severely underweight and was living in an unsanitary condition.

Due to the state of the residence and Fikes’ physical condition, Lonnie Leonard, 55, and Alexander Leonard, 49, were arrested. Lonnie Leonard said he was a hired caretaker for Fikes, while Alexander Leonard said he was a “caregiver” when Lonnie was unavailable.

Both face a charge of knowingly abusing/neglecting an adult by person and remain in the Warren County Detention Center.
