BGIS, BCS, and WCPS announcing in person school will begin August 24th

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Local schools  announced plans about school reopening, most of which are ignoring the governor’s suggestions to postpone in person classes until next month.

Warren County is a hot spot for coronavirus, according to Governor Andy Beshear.

Warren County Schools Superintendent Rob Clayton recommended today for in person classes to begin Aug. 24 with a hybrid schedule.

Bowling Green Independent Schools will be opening up Aug. 24 as well to in person and online classes.

They are reopening the option to sign up for online classes again for the next 72 hours for concerned parents.

A local private school, St. Joseph’s School, will open to in person classes on the same day.

Barren County Schools, Bowling Green Independent Schools and St. Joseph’s School have announced they will begin classes in person on Aug. 24, all offering online options.

Warren County Schools will have an official vote on the issue Monday night.
