BGFD looking to recruit new firefighters

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- The Bowling Green Fire Department is starting their 6-week recruitment period on Friday, April 16th. 

Firefighter Dylan Hawkins said they are looking for someone who wants to serve the city of Bowling Green, is a good team player and is a hard worker.

After applying, there will be anything from written tests, physical ability tests, board interviews and polygraph testing. 

“Everyday I wake up, I get to come to a job that I love with guys that I would do anything for and their families. And I get to serve a great community of Bowling Green that I also live in and make a career out of it. We can come and make a difference every single day and it’s different every single day,” said Hawkins. 

Hawkins said they will be putting out a calendar soon of what the next steps are for applicants.
