BG water tower replica at Warren County Public Library

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – In the Lisa Rice Branch of the Warren County Public Library, a great new addition is set up right by the juvenile fiction section.

KPC Architectural Products brought to life a kid-sized version of the iconic water tower in Bowling Green, and placed it right in the library for everyone to enjoy. So far it’s been a big hit with the smaller kids who come to story time at the branch, and it could potentially be the start of something new for WCPL.

News 40 spoke to Laura Beth Fox-Ezell, who told us that this project was donated by the “Friends of the Library” to thank Lynn Kruger for all her years of service. She’s since moved away from Bowling Green but a piece of her is still around thanks to the new installation. Fox-Ezell said this kind of thing is all about placemaking, and that libraries should reflect the community.

She hopes that this is the first of more projects that will hopefully call the library home and allow children to make more core memories.
