BG Pride Fest 2024 takes over Circus Square Park

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – At Circus Square Park, the LGBTQ+ community celebrated with BG Pride Fest.

Local organizations were on hand, as well as LGBTQ+ friendly businesses and food trucks.

One of the presenting sponsors this year was Music City PrEP Clinic in Nashville, or Derby City PrEP Clinic in Louisville, who help with different medicines that LGBTQ people may need.

We spoke with them over the weekend, and they told us how important Pride Fests like these are in smaller communities like Bowling Green.

“Being able to come to something that’s affirming for them is really, really important. I think that small communities don’t always have a place where they can feel safe and feel comforted and being who they are and their true selves… and this is one of those things that we can do and we can be a part of that allows them to feel free and come out and show their support for their community as well,” Jeremy Johnson, the VP of marketing for Music City PrEP Clinic says.

He also says it’s very nice to have both offices available, since Bowling Green is a halfway point between them, and they love coming down to support the community whenever they can.
