BG Chamber hosts Welcome Back WKU event
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Wednesday was the annual Welcome Back WKU event, giving students a taste of Bowling Green as they start their semester.
From businesses to organizations to restaurants, everyone was on hand to give a warm welcome to the new school year.
For those who are new to campus or even new to Bowling Green in general, it’s a nice way for them to learn what’s available and explore how they can make this their home beyond the next 4 years.
“We want them to know that they’re now part of our hometown… and so this is a great way for our businesses to come out, connect with them, welcome them to the community… and we’re hoping that they’re staying well beyond the four years they’ll be here at Western,” Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Vice President of Operations Meredith Rozanski says.
She also says it’s a great opportunity for businesses to get their name out there to new people in the community or those who may not know about them… and with classes getting underway this week, we hope all students have a great start to their semester.
