Bette Midler condones attack on Sen. Rand Paul at his Bowling Green home

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- A well-known entertainer is condoning an attack on Sen. Rand Paul that occurred at his home in Bowling Green.

In a Wednesday tweet, Bette Midler said: I do not promote violence, but Rand Paul says the Kurds are being “ingrates” for taking their frustration out on U.S. troops. Which is a good reminder for us all to be more grateful for the neighbor who beat the shit out of Rand Paul.

The tweet has since been deleted.

It was about two years ago the senator was attacked by his neighbor, Rene Boucher, after a dispute over yard debris.

Paul suffered several broken ribs in the attack and recently had surgery to his lungs.

In response, the senator’s wife, Kelley, took to Twitter Thursday and called Midler a hateful war hawk.
