Beshear speaks during first day of DNC

CHICAGO (DC Pool) – Gov. Andy Beshear spoke Monday night at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago.
Beshear made remarks during the first day, where he talked about the abortion bans across the country and said Harris-Walz will “protect reproductive freedom.”
Vice President Harris and Tim Walz were shown in the audience cheering throughout Beshear’s remarks.
Here’s a portion of what he said in last night’s speech:
“In 21 states, Trump’s actions have resulted in extreme bans on abortion – in my state even in cases of rape, incest, and nonviable pregnancies. That fails any test of humanity, any test of basic decency – any test of whether you have any underlying empathy. Thankfully, this extremism is being soundly rejected all over the country.”
The second night of the DNC will continue with a range of speakers, including but not limited to majority leader of the Senate Chuck Schumer, former President Barack Obama and Sen. Bernie Sanders.
