Beshear recognizes September as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

FRANKFORT, Ky. – On Thursday, Gov. Andy Beshear signed a proclamation recognizing September as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in Kentucky.
“I was proud to recognize September as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in the commonwealth at the Ronald McDonald House surrounded by families, advocates and the brave children fighting this disease,” stated Beshear. “My team is committed to funding research so that more kids can have better outcomes.”
In addition, the Governor’s Mansion has been lit gold to honor the month and the children who are fighting or have fought cancer.
“Team Kentucky stands with our families who have been affected, and we will work together to find a cure for our kids,” stated Beshear.
