UPDATE: Beshear confirms 3 deaths due to weather

FRANKLIN, Ky. – Gov. Andy Beshear has confirmed three deaths, one in Simpson County, one in Edmonson County and one in Logan County, as a result of today’s severe weather.

The Simpson County Sheriff’s Office has released the identity of the victim in Simpson County as David Ramsey.

Police say Ramsey was found unresponsive at the scene and was pronounced dead by the Simpson County Coroner’s Office after he was struck by a metal carport that became airborne during Friday’s strong winds.

The identity of the victims in Edmonson and Logan counties and causes of death have not been released at this time.
